Photo Contest

I have done this at multiple institutions, and it has been a relatively easy and fun way to engage students, staff, and faculty into International Education Week. I usually pick a theme for the photo contest ("celebrating the international", "the world through the senses", etc.). You can have a submission due date before international education week, have a group of judges pick the winners, then announce the winners during ...more »

Coordinating with the Campus Cafeteria

Each year, in October, we reached out to the student cafeteria to coordinate with them on featuring an internationally inspired cuisine item on the menu each day of IEW. They would also allow us to place tri-folds on the tables to highlight the events we have for the week. An idea we had but was never able to get it off the ground was to have lunch time performances from some of our student performing arts clubs!
