Economic hardship work authorization listing in table of content

I would like to see a separate listing in the index for "employment based on severe economic hardship" like has been done for CPT and OPT rather than such employment being subsumed under "off-campus employment."

Providing Feedback

I think I found an incorrect citation reference in the Manual and couldn't find any place to provide feedback.

It would be helpful to have a quick, easy way to provide feedback when a possible typo is found.

btw, the reference is under 4.12.2.1 I think it should point to 8 CFR 214.2(j)(1)(viii) instead of (j)(1)(iii) regarding a change of address for J-1s

Left-side Navigation Bar

We would like to suggest that the left side navigation be made wider. It is too small and everything is too condensed, which makes it harder to navigate.

Student Mentor Program

Once a week, international students take a one hour culture class that is taught to them by undergraduate students on campus. The culture class covers all kinds of topics specific to the U.S. and their region, while introducing them to students who are already on campus. We plan events for them to mingle as well with their student mentors.

Integrate Conversation Program into University Curriculum

At OSU, our Student Engagement Coordinator for IEP students works with faculty to establish our conversation partner program as an option to fulfill a course requirement. This increases our number of volunteers, and the diversity of students who join the program and are exposed to international students.

Linking Alumni Services with Post-Completion OPT

In order to seed the idea of becoming alumni, some institutions give Alumni Services information along with a small gift when international students apply for post-completion OPT. This allows the student to learn a little bit about the organization and understand that Alumni Services will be in touch with them after graduation.
